Desktop Support Engineer 

The Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining end-user hardware, software, and network issues to ensure smooth IT operations. This role involves providing technical support, installing and configuring systems, and assisting users with IT-related queries in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities :

  • Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • System Maintenance: Install, configure, and update operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications.
  • User Assistance: Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to end-users via in-person, phone, email, or remote desktop tools.
  • Hardware Troubleshooting: Repair or replace hardware components, such as hard drives, RAM, or monitors, as needed.
  • Software Management: Deploy software patches, updates, and antivirus solutions to ensure system security.
  • Network Support: Assist with basic network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN configurations.
  • Asset Management: Track and maintain inventory of IT equipment, including hardware and software licenses.
  • Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, user guides, and incident reports.
  • Escalation: Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or specialized teams when necessary.
  • Training: Guide users on software usage, best practices, and IT policies to enhance productivity.
